Ray,
Are you growing all those 12 plants in one bin or you will transplant again to 1 plant per bin? Thanks. Newgardener_tx |

Newgardener,
The 30 plants are divided into two "incubator" containers for the next 30 days, where I can use a cold-frame cover on them at night. Each plant has about a 5" by 6" space to aid root development. Our weather is consistently in the mid-60s, with lots of sun, so they should develop rather quickly now. They will then go into their own 31 gallon EarthTainers, with 2 plants per 'Tainer. Ray |

I am cutting back to 16 containers for tomatoes (32 plants total), and since I had good success with sweetcorn last year, I am dedicating 9 for three varieties of that vegetable. One 'Tainer I am using for Maui and Candy onions (as a first year experiment), and the remaining 4 will be used for Oregon Snow Peas. Would love to have some additional space for pepper plants, but I am out of square footage where the sun shines.... Ray |

Ray,
How big of an area are you using to grow these crops? And is it on the ground, deck, etc? I'm really impressed with how well your crops do in the containers, especially the corn.
