of tomato plant!

To me, it's a sign of Spring. Potting up and smelling that sweet intoxicating aroma. sniiiiiff, ahhhhhh!!!!

Am I weird, or do others like it too.

I love the smell

I also love the way it turns my hands hornworm green after I've been playing out in the tomato patch.

I love the smell too! And the earthy aroma of plants in the greenhouse when I just open it up. Ahhhhh. Nuttin' like it!

Ah, yes. I, too, have noticed the aroma of those green leaves with that pungency when working with the seedlings.

Like the movie Apocalypse, I love the smell of tomato leaves in the morning. It smells like ..... like lycopene.

And my lycopene low lite is always on.

One day my ex came by to talk to me about the "kids" ..... they're grownups.... He saw the tomato plants growing on my back porch. He asked me what kind of plants I was growing; 'cause they smelled sooooooo delicious! Then I told him what they were; he said to me, "Why didn't you ever grow things like that when we were together?" I said, "Because I really didn't have time to do Anything like that; based on the fact that I was busy taking care of the kids running them back and forth to school, sporting events, music lessons, cooking, cleaning etc. and being his personal scullery maid."

He looked at my puzzled and said, "Well I didn't know that !?" Another mute point in the reason why we got divorced.

Anyway, I Love the smell of tomato plants growing. And the fresh tomatoes they produce.... yummmm!
I can't wait for the results...... tomato taste testing

Soil under the fingernails, the smell of tomato plants and fish emulsion fertilizer, realizing you'll definitely be out of room in the greenhouse in a matter of hours, the promise of delicious fresh tomatoes all summer and plenty to can, the friends and relatives drooling over the varieties you've chosen...ahhh life is good!

I love that smell! It's green and almost citrusy. Demeter has a cologne that's supposed to smell like tomato leaves but it probably wouldn't be the same without the actual plant in your hands.
