Sisters ???
Can anyone tell me about the origin/history of the tomato variety named Sisters. How well would it do in Mid-Missouri-USA? Is it related to 3 Sisters? Where can I buy seed.
Thanks, MObigfoot Mexico, MO Last edited by MObigfoot; July 29, 2009 at 07:20 PM. Reason: To move to general discussion |

Tomatofest carries it:
http://store.tomatofest.com/SearchRe...x=0&Search.y=0 I do not think it is related to the Three Sisters cultivar that Seeds of Change carries, that can yield plants of 3 different shapes: a beefsteak, a globe, and a roma-like tomato.

I did not find any discussion of the history of the Sisters
cultivar. Seeds of Change probably has some history on Three Sisters somewhere, Google had a few links to newsletters that mentioned it, but their web server seems to be having issues. I could not connect to it last night or this morning. (Searching for information on it is complicated by all of the sites that mention "the Three Sisters" traditional gardening method and "tomato" on the same page.)
