KBX and Mrs. Houseworth photos

The KBX is a nice sized one, first of the year; The Mrs. Houseworths are in the 11-14 oz range.

Nice tomatoes! Can you tell us a little more about the Mrs. Houseworth's? Not a variety we hear about very often. How does it compare to other large hearts?

ddsack: These are the first 4 that I have from the Mrs. Houseworth plant and have not grown it before. We had a very wet spring and July. I have only watered one time this season thus far. As a result of the wetness, seedling were put in the ground later than usual and there has been more problems with the plants themselves. About 10% of my plants still have not produced a ripe tomato. I can tell you this about Mrs. Houseworth; it has not had the problems that some of my other varieties have had and it is going to be a good producer. I will get back with you later this month about taste. I am growing the following hearts this year:

That's a nice long list of hearts! Actually, having a off season sometimes helps to weed out some of the fussier varieties, so maybe not all bad. My hearts seems to be putting on size and doing better than some other types in this cool summer, but none are ripe yet.

I'm looking forward to you rating those tomatoes after you've had a chance to sample them all.

Wow that KBX looks really nice for a first tomato.
That's a lot of heart varieties. I'll be watching for what your opinions are once you taste them all.
