I was looking at the dwarf posts these might be great for the tree trunks, or any other small plants which would hang down. Should i post this on the dwarf post?

Yep Lucky Leprechaun would be a great choice for the stump along with the shiiake mushrooms on the side of the stump.

I vote for tumbling tom red cherry. Those are perfect for hanging baskets and would cascade down the stump and be so cute.

Film, if you took that forked log, and planted a cascading tomato on one side, then some purple basil in the other side, it would look wonderful.
At my old house, I had a hollow tree cut down and used the short pieces of log for flower containers. Always got lots of compliments on those planters and used them until they finally rotted to nothing about 5 years later. I wish I'd have thought about putting a tomato in there!

Those tree trunks are pulverized, hard wood , Squirrels, Raccoons and skunks were walking throughout the huge hallow branch.
