Hungarian varieties
I'm sort of interested in planting varieties from all of the countries that make up my nationality. I have tomatoes from Italy, Germany, and Poland, but to my knowledge I dont have any from Hungary. Can anyone reccomend any Hungarian tomatoes??

I found in a search Hungarian Heart tomato seeds but in all honesty I have found a lot more peppers from this part of the world.
I don't even know if the name is the original or not. Worth |

Here is a list of Hungarian tomatoes that I have in the TOMATObase:

Thanks guys! I didnt know you had an option to group tomatoes by origin on your site Tania, that's neat! I use your site all the time to research varieties.

Yote, check out Magyar Piroska and Magyar Piros Boker at Glecklers. Both are reds. Ami

Hungarian Heart was pretty good. Fast growing, robust plant
until verticillium wilt took out one side of it (it had forked into two main stems about a foot off of the ground). Good producer, good tomatoes for sauce, mid-season. The fruit are not huge like some heart-shaped varieties; it was a "medium sized" tomato for me. The small fruited Csikös Bötermö was sweet and tasty in 2009: http://tatianastomatobase.com/wiki/C...3%B6term%C3%B6
