seedling w yelllow leaf

I have about 40 small tomato plants and all seem to be doing well except one Brandywine pink. One leaf has turned yellow.

Anyway, I thought that the lights might be a little to close.

These were put in pots about four days ago with miracle grow "Organic Choice".

Or is this anything to be concerned about?

Cut the leaf off with a cuticle scissors. Keep an eye on it after that.

make sure you are not over watering. when i first started growing from seed, i killed many a seedlin. fill up a yogurt cup with dry soil. then fill one up with wet soil. feel the difference in weight. the cups your seedlings are in should feel almost as light as the cups with the dry soil when it is time to water. if your growing in cooler temps, below 75, the plants dont need much water.

i am growing mine at 68 at night and 70-75 in the day. there in 16 0z. styrofoam cups. i water them every 5-7 days depending on variety. the cherrries dont use as much. in my experience, the miracle gro mix tends not to be as light as some other mixes, although i have used it with good results. i cut little triangles out of the bottom of my cups, along with 8-10 drainage holes. cut the triangles where the bottom meets the side of the cup. it really helps in providing air to the soil at the bottom. good luck.
