Default Is there a better large red cherry than Bulgarian Triumph?!

It seems to blow me away every year. Perfect for snacking in the garden. Its got that huge explosion of juice with that oh so sweet and rich flavor all at once. Boy if I could get that same exact taste and texture in a beefsteak I would be in heaven! A heavy producer too. Anybody else just absolutely love BT?

Of course I love it Damon, but since when do you consider BT as a large red cherry. Methinks you jest.

My BT fruits are in the maybe 5-6 oz range most years when I was growing it and I don't call that a large cherry.

it has what I call that "Bulgarian" taste, which I love, so why don't you consider some of the following Bulgarian varieties that I've grown and liked very very much:

Large Pink Bulgarian, beefsteak
Bulgarian #7, perfect globes
Druzba, oblate globe, well known
Milka's Red Bulgarian, red beef, a fave of mine, have offered seeds here
Kroska Pink Bulgarian,6-8 oz mini-beefs
Bulgarian No Name, aka Old Sort

.....and here's some information about that last one:

It turned out that Frederick, who is an Englishman who gardens in Bulgaria in the summer and spends the winters in SE Asia sent the same variety to both Tania and me but called them different names. So I asked him what he wanted to name it, he didn't, so Tania listed it as she got it, which I think was as Old Sort, and then added the No Name, which is how I received it.

Gotta love it.

I didn't have enough seeds to list it in the SSE YEarbook or offer seeds in my seed offer. Same for Marek's Pointy which we both got from Frederick and is Bulgarian in origin.

And here's a whole bunch of Bulgarian ones to consider, this list from Tania's site:

Gotta have that Bulgarian "taste".
