Mule Team - how big?
Is Mule Team considered a "compact" indeterminate? I haven't been able to find it described as such, but my plant is "stuck" at about 3'. It's producing well and the fruit match the descriptions that I've found, but I was expecting something a bit taller. My other indeterminates are 6' - 8' and climbing.

Hmmm...very interesting-the one I received in a trade is very small also, as compared with the other plants started and transplanted at the same time~3 1/2'.

I'd have to check, but I believe my seed came from SESE.

Hmmm, I didn't know SESE listed it, I know I didn't send it to Jeff, or at least I don't think I did. Whatever. I did send lots of others though.
All of the ones that Joe Bratka's father bred are strong indeterminate varieties and those include: Box Car Willie Mule Team Red Barn Great Divide Pasture Joe found the seeds in glass jars in a toolshed, already named, he couldn't get them to germinate so sent seeds to me and I was able to get the ones listed above going, but through all these years I've always wondered what the three that I couldn't germinate might have turned out to be. I think more folks should be growing Red Barn, not that anyone asked me.
