It was very interesting that technology from the U.S. enabled all of these Miners to get out today, rather than another 70 days from now with "Plan A". Hats off to Jeff Hart and a PA Company called Center Rock Inc.

Definitely a "feel good story" for a change.....at least most of it.

Thankfully the miners are all out and safe, getting any treatment they'll need in future. Some of the stories about the relatives topside during the crisis were not as laudatory.

Kudos to all the rescuers for coming together in such a way to make it all possible.

I got a chuckle out of the story that the Miner with both a wife and a mistress reportedly wanted to stay in the mine permanently!!

Miners are a lot like sailors: when one is in jeopardy, the rest will come to their aid. I have in-laws in Chile who worked those mines many years ago. I can only imagine that they broke open their best bottle of wine for dinner.

I can also imagine that CenterRock will be doing some business in Chile in the near future. Their Sales Rep's intro just got easier!

Wonderful story with a great ending. Hard to imagine being "plucked" from the bowels of the earth.

Happy Matering,
