I have had good experience with Big Beef, possibly the best hybrid I have grown to date although I have never grown it in the fall

Try it in the fall. It takes the hardship of planting in the blistering heat of July and August better than any other tomato I have tried. Jetsetter is a close second and has the bonus of actually being more productive as the weather cools than Big Beef. Jetsetter is also more productive in the early cool months of spring. It is my insurance plant during the spring set out; but now I like to have them both during the fall season.

I've had very good luck with Goliath Bush and Normal Goliath in the fall. Both grew from seedlings, bloomed, set fruit, and produced weill into first frost. I planted the seedling in the mid summer, "hell hath no fury like Texas mid summer heat;" heat. They thrived while everything around them was withering and looking for just a little shade. I will try Big Beef f1 and Jetsetter also next year.

Of the tomatoes I have sampled this fall, none have had outstanding flavor. Cherokee Purple just isnt as good as it is in the spring for whatever reason. Black and Brown Boar is the winner in taste easily at this point. Its one that I have never grown in the spring

My best tasting ones this fall were Indian Stripe and Druzba; but surprisingly Big Beef was pretty good. Black Krim was also still good but not as good as in the summer. Carbon looked like a pink and had the same mild sweet taste as many pinks this fall. Overall this fall the tomatoes were not as good as in the summer; but some of that could be due to the fact that I had to pick so many at first blush to protect them from the squirrels. Last year my fall tomatoes were actually better than my regular summer crop.
