Natural Antifungal Recipe
I "heard" baking soda is a natural treatment for fungal infections on plants. Has anyone tried this or know of any other low cost ways to fight disease in tomatoes?

"Cornell Formula" is a mix of 2 tablespoons of ultralight horticultural oil, 4 teaspoons (one heaping tablespoon) baking soda in a gallon of water sprayed on plants every two weeks. It is used as a preventative fungicide on roses. I haven't tried it on any other plant.
I sprinkle @ 1 cup corn meal around the base of tomatoes when I plant them. It is supposed to be an organic fungicide. After it is wetted is grows a fungus called Trichoderma which kills other fungus. I have never had any fungal problems with tomatoes, but I live in a region less suseceptable to fungal disease. I have used tea tree oil mixed with water (@ 1 tsp per quart of water) to cure powdery mildew on a rose. It didn't work on zinnias though.
