It must be the year or environmental or something. I've grown Chocolate Cherry for several years and it's always been an OK variety for me. Not great, but not a spitter.
For several years I grew Chocolate Cherry and Brown Berry and CC is definately better for me. Then about 3 seasons ago I finally found seeds for Black Cherry and added that to my blend. Black is the definate winner in taste for me. Last year I also got Negro Azteca and by accident it and BC were right next to each other. They LOOK almost identical in size and color and splitting this year. But NA has a more agressive or "red" taste to me. Some customers liked NA better, some liked BC better. Some liked BC so much that they didn't care that it split so much and still bought what I had at the market. Carol |

I had a tomato this year but don't know what it is or if it is stable. After the first 30 or 40 fruits (which were up to 7 ounces) about the size of a golf ball and in clusters of usually 4. It was pink with a good balanced tomato flavor leaning toward sweet. It was juicy and had very thin skin which ripened completely with no green shoulders and no core. It was my favorite to just pop in my mouth and get a good burst of juicy tomato goodness. I saved the seed from it because of it's flavor and because it was the most productive plant I had this year. It had the bonus of being able to set fruit in extremely high temps when most others were just dropping blooms. I don't know if it is stable but I will gladly send you some seed to try if you will PM me your address.

I will second b54reds pick of Bills Berkeley! I am growing his F2 seed of this variety and it just keeps getting better. Out of my 42 varieties it has been the most productive as far as numbers and it tastes very good. In lbs. it has been Kosovo, Anna Russian,Earls Faux.

I am waiting for my Bulgarian Triumph to ripen on my two plants. I am excited to taste this variety from what I have heard.
