I have a tray of broccoli, onions, lettuce and scallions ready on the porch which are fine with the cold but the ground is too wet. My tomatoes and hot peppers are as happy as clams under my shop light. I let them out on the few nice days we have but don't expect to put any in the ground for 3 more weeks.

Yep. Frost forecast here in central ohio. Have about fifty trys to move back inside for the night with the others that are still hiding out in here.

We have had a beautiful spring. The weather forecast shows us hitting 91 on Sunday with a low of 70 Sunday night. We probably have another week of mild nights scattered through early May, then it will start averaging over 90 in the daytime and above 70 at night. When June arrives, the real heat will arrive with night time lows 80 and above and daytime highs pegging the thermometer. It won't take long to see which tomato varieties really can withstand the heat.
