Default Olea Europaea/Olive Tree

When back in Nebr. I went to a garden center with sister-in-law. We found a package of Olive Seeds from Thompson & Morgan. My sister-in-law purchased them and shared half of them with me. Zone 8-10 but can be grown as houseplant. Mine will be a houseplant along with my lemon and lime tree's. Has anyone had any experience growing this and if so do you have any tips? Thanks in advance.

I have one olive tree growing in a container. It's mostly outside except 30-40 days a year when night temps travel below -5C/23F. I don't believe olive tree will make a good indoor plant, it requires a lot of sun light and drop leaves when keep indoors. But you can certainly try growing yours, just keep it outside as long as it's possible. Olive tree is hardy to -15C/5F for one day and to -5C/23F for one week.
Olive tree grown from seed is even hardier but produces only small and inedible fruits.

Where I grew up in Southern Calif. olive trees were common and we 3 monsters growing in our yard. When I was in Crete they were everywhere and they were still harvesting the olives the old way by spreading a net or big sheets under the trees and whacking the tree branches to knock the olives off of the tree.
