When to start seeds for a september planting
Hey guys first post here,
I live in central FL and started my first garden this year. I have 3 4x4 foot raised beds. I got a late start and didn't sow seed (directly into my beds) until the second week of April. From what I understand here in central FL we have 2 seasons in which we can start growing. So I was thinking of a second planting in September and harvest in Dec. My question is when should I start seeds germinating inside. I cant start to early because the scorching heat outside will probably kill seedlings in July/August but I want some kind of head start because I want enough time to get a harvest. The following are the seeds I have: Black Crimson Chocolate Stripes Amana Orange Amish Gold Cream Sausage Kellogg's Breakfast Super Snow White |

I would start them 6 weeks before plantout just like you would for spring planting. Start them in the middle of July and keep them indoors for 6 weeks and plant the first of September. Hope this helps.
