I just spoke with Lina at Tomato Growers Supply and arranged to send her seed of J.D.'s Special C-Tex. She will look it over and may arrange commercial production for seed to be available in 2009.
Meantime, I am still planning a bulk growout for next year and should be able to produce between 50,000 and 100,000 seed. I have about 700 seed in a pack that will produce plenty of plants for next year. DarJones |

I offer JD's Special C-Tex through the Seed Saver's Yearbook year round and have had a few recent orders from folks here. I have around 3 oz of seed from 2007.

I would love to post a seed offer here for JD's Special C-Tex but my JD's seed stock level has gone down quite a bit due to distributing seed this year. I'm planning on growing anywhere from 8 to 16 plants for the sole purpose of seed saving next spring.

I'm growing out JD right now and should seed this year if anyone is interested.
The two fruit I've gotten so far have been green shouldered, very similar to Cherokee Purple but so far, much more productive in the same bed. |
