Default Tomato Snack?

I had completely forgotten about the tomato snack and cant remember where it is in the forums. Have you got it marked or remember where it is?

Ron,

Yep, I began to use the Calcium Nitrate "snack" on a few plants last Season, then in mid-July we got hit bad with Tomato Russet Mites, hence all my attention turned to controlling / eliminating them - - which was too late. So, no conclusive results to post.

I just read a Thread here (that I can't seem to now locate) where they are using Epsom Salts and Calcium Nitrate supplements. I asked the OP as to her use amount and frequency of application - but no reply as of today.....

She had beautiful looking plants in 4 gallon containers in a hot house of some type.

I believe she also added a reply to your question.

I did some reading and one of the articles I read said if you live in a dryer climate to use the Calcium Nitrate but if you live in a humid or wet climate that limestone was a better option to add Calcium to the soil.
