first real harvest of 2011

I had to pick a few of these green, as I will be leaving town for a moment and we have raccoons galore.

Japanese black trifele, Paul Robeson, Carbon, CP, Super snow white, KB, box car willie, Stupice x Green Copia. The later varieties (GG, Omar's, AGP, Platfoot) look like they will be hitting in the next week or so. Although there are none in the photograph, I've harvested a handful of kosovo and persimmon fruit too. Both very early varieties for the size and taste.

The flavors are excellent so far this year. Hope everyone's season is going well

Nice picture. I am sure they are so delicious.. Question. On the second picture. What is that striped green medium size tomato facing down, towards the right of the pic. I like the look of it, so I want to grow it. Looks like a green zebra. (Never tried them)But, I am not one to assume. Thanks in advance.

Hey raindrops27. That is a cross that Frogsleap made. It is an F2 stupice x green copia cross. I have yet to taste it, but it is gorgeous, extrememly prolific, more cold tolerant than its parents, and Potato-leaved. I'm going to put a lot of energy into that line. I don't have any more F2 seed, nor would they yield that exact fruit. I will make seed available to everybody (if Mark is cool with that) when I've got a handful of good tomatoes from that cross.
