Texas Tomato Lovers Handbook
I'm not familiar with the book or its author, but this was the subject of an article in today's Dallas Morning News, so I'm passing it along:
Bill Adams will sign copies of his book at 2 p.m. July 9 at A Real Bookstore in Fairview. The Texas Tomato Lover’s Handbook William D. Adams Texas A&M UniversityPress, 2011 Sounds interesting. Dewayne Mater |

I saw the article, too. Considering what I've spent trying to grow tomatoes in Texas this year, what's another $25.00?

Bill Adams was the Texas A&M Extension Service Vegetable Specialist for Harris County in the 1980's. Back when everyone was growing Big Set and Big Girl and later, Merced. I would be interested to know if the book discusses Heirloom and OP tomatoes in a favorable light. I'll try to get a copy.

Yeah it might be great, or it might have comedic value with all the standard Master Gardener faff about Merced and BHN444. I should pick up a copy.

I saw it at Book's A Million bookstore the other day. Didn't preview it as I had the kids along with me.
