Some tomato pics.
My Stump of the World seeds grew out both RL and PL plants so I grew one of each. This is the Regular Leaf one that has set over 40 fruit so far. Fruit looks just like the ones on the PL plant but it has only set 4 fruit. I wonder if it is the correct seed?Iphone pics 7-23-2011 011.JPG
This is my "Fake Sophie's Choice". It is obviously the wrong seed since the plant is now 5' tall and huge. It is however loaded with baseball sized fruit. I hope they taste good whatever they are because it is one productive plant.Iphone pics 7-23-2011 012.JPG This is my Grannie's Heart. It is the plant that was mowed down by a deer just before planting and it has recovered remarkably. It is currently about 7' tall and has set about 20 tomatoes so far. The first ones are nearing softball size. I have 4 Grannie's Heart's planted. 2 in the ground and 2 in a 12 gallon container. The container ones are now starting to set fruit also. They were planted very late. Iphone pics 7-23-2011 013.JPG Here is a Hoy. I have 3 plants and so far only 8 fruit have set and are growing between all 3 plants. The plants are huge (2 are about 8' tall). Iphone pics 7-23-2011 014.JPG |
