Mud & Bucket Farm Harvest Jul 24 2011
Just came up from the garden and got these cleaned up. Still getting some splitting from all the rain, but looks like a few more quarts of Juice are possible here.
Enjoy

Very nice, Ted. A good harvest.
I should probably know the answer to this, but do you grow other crops as well? Sherry |

This year I grew two kinds of potatoes - Yukon Gold and Red Pontiac - got about 70 lbs. I also grew three kinds of green/string beans - got about 4.5 bushels. There was a little patch of peas, some cabbage, brussel sprouts, onions, carrots, broccoli, turnips, radishes, two kinds of cucumbers, lots of peppers (~45 plants), and my okra has finally begun blooming. I also picked about 4 gallons of blackberries. The apple tree in the back yard is getting close to harvest. Beyond that, I have 182 tomato plants in the main garden and 16 in containers. I also have one container of tomatillos and two with herbs. Then there's the 7 volunteer tomato plants and all the wife's flowers which I have to tend.
Hmmm!! I think I just figured out why I've been feeling tired lately. Isn't that gallon tub of Sleeping Lady's pretty???

Platys and Clara - these pictures are of my third harvest like this. I have another waiting in the garden that will be a bit larger. I've already put away 4 quarts of juice (really thick) and 4 quarts of sauce in addition to giving my brother about a bushel.
After all the bad weather, I'm currently blessed with a most bountiful harvest that just seems to keep coming. Thanks, Remy.
