Happy Thanksgiving to all of us
Thanksgiving is special for all Americans but for those of us who are active in gardening and farming it is our holiday. The season is over but we look forward to next year.
I had my personal experience with looking forward to next year. For the first time since July I bought a supermarket tomato for lunch. Bad news. I cannot figure out what they do to make those tomatoes taste so bad. Elliot |

Elliot, don't feel bad, I did the very same thing last week. Amazing how deceiving those little beauties are, isn't it? I thought mine lacked taste, but tonight I used the other one on a taco, and I decided it was watery tart-ish. If that's a flavor
I want to wish everyone a wonderful, happy, and bountiful holiday as well. Please remember at this time of year while most of us are fortunate to be enjoying a big harvest meal, there are many who have no one to spend the holiday with, and others who can't afford to spend on a big holiday meal. Keep those folks in your thoughts and prayers. After the triptophan kicks in, I'll be having some sweet little tomato dreams of next year

Now that the trees are bare and the last of the leaves are blowing around the fences, our thoughts turn to visions of spring and the new life of the tomato seedlings we will nurture. But I don't want this time to go too quickly. There are so many opportunities for "good feelings" this time of year. Take a moment to remember that half of Thanksgiving is the "giving". Last night, we took some lemon tarts over to a neighbor. They didn't know we were coming. The smiles we got were all the "Thanks" needed. This is how we "intensify" our holiday spirit.
To all of the "residents" of this wonderful township of Tomatoville, Judy, Tim, and I send our warmest wishes for a great holiday season. May fortune find you. May peace and love be your constant companions.

I hope everyone has a great thanksgiving, and is blessed enough to share it with family and friends. I'm thankful for all the friendly, helpful people on this forum who make up Tomatovile.
