I've eaten a whole lot of fabulous red tomatoes, but none that knocked my socks off. I've eaten some so-called purple tomatoes that knocked both socks off at once.
Travis, this is just a teaser for me and gets my curiosity going. I have to know which "so-called purples" made you lose your socks and send them flying.

Aunt Lou's should be pink, not red.

Tatiana's & Blue Ribbon both list Aunt Lou's as a red. I have seeds for this year but haven't grown it. Where did you see it was supposed to be pink?

Cheers

I am also looking for a super tasting red variety, tried neves Azores red last year but it didn't turn out good for me. I have some reds from Serbia and Bulgaria to try for this year...my best last year was crnkovic yugoslavian, super productive and tasty! I will also be trying red barn, Wes, saint Lucie, linnies oxheart and rutgers this year in my quest for the "best red"
