What are your best of each...say...yellow cherry, white cherry, black beefsteak, etc., etc.?

Looking for a few leads for 2012.
Also, this will make you laugh... Have a few blushers (yep) of Anmore Dewdrop in the window sill! LOL With only 89 days from seed and counting , not bad for these low light conditions of winter I guess.

White Cherry - Snow White
That's a start.

Yellow Cherry- obviously sun gold

Black Cherry- chocolate cherry
Striped- Green Zebra (Copia looked good, but I never got to try it because my garden got hit with late blight before it ripened. It had really pretty thin stripes, though.)
Red Cherry- Supersweet 100
Best Early- Fourth of July

I don't have much to say, because I didn't get much ripe fruit before late blight.

Oh, by the way, Erlyberd, aren't dwarfs hilarious indoors in winter? Last year I had a Micro Tom through winter and then it survived through the summer! I put it outside in my hoophouse, and it had a lot of crops of small red cherries outside, even though it is a determinate. My mom actually thought Micro Toms tasted good, and I thought they were ok. Anmore Dewdrop will probably taste better than Micro Tom, so you'll have to tell us how they taste! Have you tried them yet?

It's also funny when you have company and they are surprised at how tiny and cute a tomato plant can be!

Taryn, I had grown them last year (aquired them here in seed trade, thank you again) and I think they are wonderful for such an early performer. Last year growing inside the hoophouse they were sweet and tasty.I've been having troubles with Lyme Disease (bad stuff man) and my tummy is in no mood for acid. I gave the first ripes ones to my sister but hav'nt heard. Maybe they are horriable grown indoors. Nice to here from you. I know we made a trade or two last season. Hope they all worked out for you.I have seven plants in the window! The blooms are just starting on the Tiny Tims! Rick

rick i hope you went to a doctor and got antibiotics for that. i had a case and it was dreadful and the meds knocked it down fast.

I think Brandy Boy is a pink. Mine were anyway.

You say Sungold with some reluctance in your tone??? LOL I was'nt impressed with a friends Sungold but then again were no longer friends and she called me a tomato snob! LOL True story, Sad I know, I actually liked her. Might have been the temps not sure...Anyway I'm just teasing you! Hard to convey that through print for me anyways. So sorry to hear of the blight. I hope everything we traded did good for you anyway. If you need anything because you got wiped out let me know. OK.

Well Tom, Things were looking better, feeling a bit better/stronger but the news keeps getting worse! I'm picking up a bit after being completely wiped out for over a month, now it turns out the cancer is eating me up and is responsiable for much of the pain, the chronic fatique and suffering I endured since Thanksgiving. I'm going back on the chemo Wed and things could'nt have turned completely upsidedown any faster for me. I'm really scared, drugged up on narcotics quite heavily and uncertain of how much time I have left. This disease is spreading everywhere. Once its in the lympnodes (since 11/2010) its pretty much over anyway I figure. Now my liver is giving me trouble and I'm having pretty servere pain in my chest and abdomin. The chemo treatment is going to be mild due to the neropathy suffered from last winters treatments so there is only so much they can do before they hurt me worse I guess. I guess its pretty much over for me but I'll still fight for awhile just because I'm stubborn but its looking like a losing battle at this point. Sorry you had to hear all that.

Back to tomatoes! Not sure if I really want to try growing a green one. Aftering 20 plus years of throwing away greenies I'm not sure I can do it.

Keep them suggestions coming in. I still need to try a few new ones every year!

gee rick i didn't realize how things were going and it sounds like they have taken a turn for the worse. so sorry to hear all this, it really sounds dire. the last time i saw you i thought things were going well, you looked well and seemed to be quite healthy, nothing like what you are describing now. gosh it sounds awful.

i have thought of calling you but just haven't gotten around to it, now i feel really bad about that. each time i drive by the community garden and see your plot i think of you. by the way, the winds have blown down one of your tepees. i was going to call you and tease you about it. when you feel up to it why don't you call me that way you can talk when you feel you feel well enough to do so. i assume you have my number if not i'll call you and leave it on your phone.
