Got a question: compare, for me, if you will (your) Golden Monarch & (one of my fave's) Kellogg's Breakfast ... IF you've tried it..... pleeeeeze.

Comparo
I can do this, Larry.
However, do consider the fact that I only ever had half a very large juicy and perfectly ripe Kellogg's Breakfast from local grower Finbar, who is partly responsible for getting me in this fine mess. But I did sit and contemplate the flavour of that oh-so-juicy orange and it left an impression. Contrary to a post hereabouts it was in no way mild or bland here. I noted KB had a very big fruity taste and I just loved it. Golden Monarch isn't anywhere near that forthright or candid, but in terms of the yellows I've grown it's the best thus far. KB 8.5/10 GM 8/10 Also, for me at least, or in 9-10 Zone from what I have observed thus far, KB is more productive. But you can't or shouldn't go through a season without growing a yellow, if only for the colour combo of that salsa. And a big tasty yellow is a treat. |
