If you use a quality potting mix there should not be much trouble with watering. I use peat based soil with compost and/or rotted manure, some garden soil (heavy loamy clay that helps with water retention) and add vermiculite for soil lightness.

On normal days with moderate temperature I water every three to four days, in July and August, when it gets hot, I have to water daily. But that is not a problem. I've had soil that made me water twice a day before, so I'm very careful to use the right stuff now...

Do you top the plants when they reach the tops of those bendy wire posts you're using?
Thank you!
I usually top them but they just keep growing so I have to top them a couple of times during the season...

The spiral posts are just something I purchased a while back and to tell you the truth, I'm not pleased with them. They are quite heavy and usually get tipped over by the wind in the pots.
This year I'll be using aluminum posts again (plasticized), I just have to buy them.
The spiral posts are great for tomatillos though, so that is what they'll be used for...
