Lol!

More like: afraid of a 2 month old daughter that doesnt get her formula, trust me its ugly!

Very good news to report that the psi is the same as it is at the bib! So I think/hope those micro spray heads will work well. I'm totally stoked! This has been a grinding sprinkler learning process for me, but its been fun too. Once I get my containers laid out n planted and the micro spray heads installed I will check in. Thanks again for all the help!

Understandable. I've been there myself. A thirsty tomato plant may wilt, get diseased, drop its blossoms, its fruit or even shrivel up and die on you. It may even break your heart.... but it won't scream and yell at you!

BTW... A word of advice... Never use the word 'ugly' anywhere in proximity to 'daughter' or 'wife'.
You will live longer and be happier!

Got my Rain Bird XS-360TS-025 Xeri-Spray 360 True Spray heads today! Even though its pouring rain here I couldn't wait and I installed a few on some half inch poly. They work fantasticly, very precise, turn n click this way and the fan gets bigger click n turn the other way and the fan gets smaller. These put the original heads I bought at HD to shame. Maybe thats why they were 50% more in cost but worth it thus far. Anyway things look great so far! Will report with some pictures soon once this crappy weather goes away and I can get some plantings done.

Is it spray or spider drip or what.
I cant find a picture of them in action.
I don't want anything that sprays.

Worth- I guess they would be considered spray type, 360 degree, but very even and precise thus far. I will take a picture of them in action tomorrow and post.

Damon,

I don't think it is going to stop raining until Sunday evening.

I was hoping to get the tomatoes, cukes, and a few peppers planted this weekend - - but no joy with all of this rain. To be sure, we need it - - but it is delaying my planting.

Ray- I know what ya mean. Kind of a good new bad news deal. Just like you I was ready to to start planting some maters this weekend. My cukes and peppers need more time.

I'm looking at the heads with 8-32 or 1/8 NPT threads so I can drill and tap my pipe and screw the heads in.

This way I can put the heads where I want and if I need to, move and plug the holes left behind.

I would prefer to use sch 40 PVC so I can install unions on one end so they can be dismantled and put away on a rack.
There would be 3, 11 foot or so runs out of one header. the corners would have 90 degree the sides 180 degree and the centers 360 degree.

All of this will be on a timer.

Now I need to buy a timer for this purpose.
I have read that many timers wont allow you to put in exacting times for shorter periods.
Something I would have to look into.

If I do buy a timer I will get one for the whole yard.
I am tired of dragging a hose around.

Default Got some pictures

Here they are in action. The 360 degree rings will go smaller or bigger with just a twist and click and the throw goes the same respectively. I plan to mount these on 1/2 inch poly in an upsidedown position for all my container plantings. I'm not sure if I'm going to install inline pressure regulators considering that I will have nearly 50 of these running at the same time. I guess its more of a trial and error kind of a thing.

Looks good.

Can you tell what the residual pressure is.

Update. Laying out and installing my lines/sprayers has been a work in progress. But I'm getting close as 3 of my 4 zones are complete with only zone 4 left which is my hot pepper section. My peppers fell behind especially the real hotties. But after moving them into my mini greenhouse they have started to bounce back nicely. I did run into a snag recently with my sprinkler valve, it has a small leak so the lowest point of my system which is zone 2 continues to drip even thought the valve is supposed to be closed. I'll be running to HD tomorrow to pick up a new one and also install it above ground so its easier to access. So far I have 30 micro-sprayers on my system and havent had a problem with water pressure or adjusting distribution so all is good. I will snap some pictures soon.
