My first ripe tomato!
I cheated to get an early ripe tomato. This tomato set on a Harnas blossom about four weeks after the seedling germinated. I've never had a bloom on such a young seedling before. I decided to leave the tiny tomato on the plant when I planted it out on March 1. I will not eat this tomato but will save seed from it. The Harnas plant has set a lot more fruit which I will be able to eat. I'm looking forward to it.

Dang that is early! I've got nothing bigger than a large marble at this point.

Dewayne,
I planted two of these Harnas plants. They have a lot of marbles and quite a few golf balls on them. This tomato is in the five to six ounce range. I expect all of them to average that size. They have an interesting orange to red color I haven't seen before. Ted |

I have a Viva Italia plant that is loaded with full size fruit, but none ripe yet. I think it has set better than my cherries so far. We will have tons of salsa this year. The JD's c-tex is setting very well too. I am hopeful for a good harvest before summer hits.
