Default Teensy-weensy black flies?

My tomato plants are growing strong and healthy (I think), but about a gazillion very tiny black critters that look like miniature flies have suddenly appeared on all the plants. They are a little smaller than aphids, I'd say; the plants are fine so far. Any idea what these guys are and if I need to do anything about them?

Have you seen aphids too?
They might not be flies, if they are not chewing on the leaves, they might be parasitic wasps looking for aphids. They did a great job of wiping out the green aphids on my Tomato plants this year.

No aphids, thank heavens. These look like a very miniature black fly; and I finally found a thread here about the very same little critter with really good pictures. So far they don't seem to be hurting anything and the numbers are dwindling, probably because of an unusually good crop of lady bugs this year. So being both lazy and organic, I guess I'll just leave them alone.

Thanks for responding....
