Default Orange Heirloom/Stone/Great White

Here's what I had for dinner the other night on a BT sandwich. No lettuce around....

From left to right we have:

Orange Heirloom- A great fruity tasty orange beef steak variety with a nice tart bite.

Stone - Livingston variety which produces large quantities of solid (read firm) red slicers. Flavor leans to the tart side
and is quite good.

Great White - Grown on foster farm, so no growing report. Mild tasting and nicely shaped fruit.

Nice harvest.

My Great White gave me a bigger one. About 16 oz plus.

Something for you to look forward to.

More photos of Orange Heirloom. These produced great this year! Most fruit weighed in over 12 oz. With a few topping out at 1 pound. Easily my be producing heirloom for the season so far!

The last photo shows it with other yellow/oranges tomatoes.
In the box from left to right...
Sean's Yellow Dwarf, Improved Colossal Yellow, Kentucky Yellow Heirloom, Orange Heirloom, and Yellow Bosnian (out of the box). These made a nice sauce!

Looking good Lee, and I'm glad to see the Yellow Bosnian as well since that's a new one from Tania that she just got last year and is one of three you're doing seed production for me, so I hope they all didn't go into the sauce before you fished out some seeds.

I like the looks of that Orange Heirloom as well and since I do like most of the orange ones I've grown, how would you describe the taste? As good as KBX or Orange Minsk?

The taste of Orange Heirloom is a balanced fruity flavor with a somewhat creamy texture. I rate the flavor anywhere between a 7~8.
They don't have a tart bite that I typically prefer, but this one is still
a nice one to grow.

In side by side tastes tests with KBX (at Tomatopalooza[tm]), some
folks like OH better, others KBX. I can go either way.

Thanks for posting those, Lee. Those are some good looking 'maters! I grew Great White for the first time this year and as I saw mentioned somewhere above, it made some really big ones. Overall, it was a little more mild than what I go for but I saved some seed and maybe I'll give it another go next year!
