Maybe Blue Zebra?

Found this one today on one of the neglected plants in the back of the old garden. Close to the maple tree, back by the fence, didn't get fertilized or mulched and it is a leggy mess left to sprawl. Figures it would turn out to be something special.

It is from one of Tom Wagner's lines, but the label has faded to the point that I can't read it! It has stripes, both in the blue patterns and in the skin that hasn't accumulated any anthocyanin.

I'm going to stake it up, side dress it with tomato tone, mulch it and start hitting it every morning with the pollinating wand to try and get some more fruit set before fall. I may also try starting some clones.

That is interesting, is it a cherry size or just a fruit that didn't grow to full size?

I'm not sure, because it was a neglected plant. That was the only fruit on it, so now I'm going to try everything I can to take better care of it and see what happens for the rest of the season.

If nothing else I can clone it and drag out my hydro setup for my office.

I've got one plant from a "Searching for the Blue Zebra" pack that was sent with my order. I had poor germination, but got one plant. It's just now setting fruit. The buds / sepals are really large. Who knows what it will be! Keep us posted on yours!

Nope, I've got multiple Indigo Rose plants, this is definately one of Tom's. I've narrowed it down to either Blue Green or Mix the Two, both things he didn't list this year but that I got from generous TVille members.
