First Hoy
No special treatment, not really any fertilizer even, only the purchased compost that probably was high in nitrogen, as most tomato plants got to 5-6 feet high before having any fruit.

Haven't tried yet, will cut up one of them tomorrow. I'm hoping I'll have a big ugly one ready to pick on the 17th, I've got a monstrosity entry open at the fair. Otherwise I'll be seeing how big I can get a zucchini in a week and a half, and they've been dropping in production lately.
Actually, I might have tried a small one for burgers a few days ago, don't remember which plant it came from now. That one did taste good, but I've never been to a tasting event or anything. |

Nice looking toms! Congrats! Mine are finally beginning to show some color (blush). Yippy! Won't be long now. Maybe mid-August for my first taste.

Tasted good to me, but I've not tried a lot. I don't know how good of a judge I am.

My best so far is a 2 LB 4.9 OZ Big Zac but my monster on another Big Zac plant is sadly starting to flash color so I must pick it and weigh the beast.
Good luck with your entries!!!!!

Yup, I have a Hoy about that size still green. Just gave if some fishy delight today. Funny thing is I have 19 Hoy plants going and the biggest one is from a bag and not in the ground. I only tested 1 in bags. Well at it's end I'll post results.

I've gotten 5 tomatoes so far from it, that 27.15 oz is still the biggest, the rest have been like the other 2 in approximate shape and size. there are probably 10-15 green ones on the plant right now though. I have noted that you can't search for 3 letter words here, so it's difficult finding hoy threads
