Research has shown that watering less frequently, specifically watering alternating sides of the plant (e.g. water in front of the plants on Tuesdays and behind the plants on Fridays) might result in less foliage but gives about the same amount of fruit and the fruit may be of higher quality. Of course 100+ degree heat might call for adjustment.

I dont run the drip all day or night.
As a matter of fact the soil is dry on top and the drip only waters them enough to keep the plants from wilting.
All of that soil dries up every day in this heat.

The tomatoes amazingly are still holding their own, I just wish it would cool off so they would set fruit.
The way this place works here is it will cool off then very quickly get too cold for a couple of months then its time to start all over.

Some of my plants are about 10 feet tall now.
One limb has taken up with the bean vines and it growing along with it.
The tomato vine gets supported by the bean vine that is supported by a string.
