Michael, I'm surprised it gets that cold there for you, you must be in a higher altitude, I tend to forget there are mountains in the SW. You must be doing a lot of things right to get such consistently good results on winter tomatoes. So how did the real Tadesse taste? Can you compare them to something similar?

We are at about 4,000 feet above sea level in El Paso. And our house is on a mountain, so its somewhat higher than that.

These temps are definitely lower than we usually get-but we always get a winter storm like this. The greenhouse lows are usually not lower than 50 F, and during the day during December/January, the highs are about 80.

Have not tasted the Tadesse yet-I am saving seed now from 3 of them, will try the others tonight.

I cut some of the plants back-about 3. And I germinated and planted a short season Russian variety-Bushy Chabarovsky to see how it would do starting the growout in January. Bushy is on the left, one of the cut back ones on the right. Both have buds, the cut back one is getting ready to fruit.

I dont use the greenhouse during the summer-the temps there get to 120 F, 49 C. I plant outside the greenhouse in March, these plants should be finished by then.

Michael those plants look very to be a very deep and rich green. I love that awesome sign of a healthy plant.

Buried some more boakshi last week and the worms were up in its business within 1 hr. Its pretty interesting.

They really look good. I had a very good winter growing season. I had a done bokashi bucket, mixed it in with a bag of potting mix to let it break down. After about 4 weeks I can use it in containers. I am doing a test of 4 5 gallon containers with chard, the only fert I am going to use is the bokashi. So I put 2 decent sized amounts of bokashi in each container.
