Lyn,
Its looking amazing as always. That list is intense, but looks like a great mix of var. Everything seems to be healthy. I have deff grown plants on a garage roof before, just be careful climbing up.

Keep it coming as they develop, i bet the lath houses will get packed

Lowes also sells rib lath in our area. Do you have any Lowes that are close by? You might try calling them and seeing if they would drop ship it to a store near you.

I'll talk to my husband; I sure he can write up a building plan. I'll send you a pm when I know more.

Thanks Lynn, it isn't available at my lowe's here and I could only imagine the drop ship fees I would incur if I had them do that. I guess the stucco houses just aren't that popular here and I think (I could be wrong here) it is because we have such high humidity here. It could also be because we have sand that moves alot as well.

I wonder if I can use this instead, I think animals could chew through it but I could use something for the bottom edge to keep the animals out.

Cran, you're right -- I didn't think about having to climb up and down from the roof top -- might need to build some regular stairs - using a ladder would get old!

Rockporter, that might work, but you would definitely need to barricade the bottom edge to keep the animals out. The nice thing about the rib lath is that it is rigid, so you don't need to stretch it like screen material over a frame. I'll let my husband know that you can't get rib lath in your area. He might know of something that would work instead.

I found the first tomatoes of the 2013 season today -- Stupice was planted out on Mar 3rd. The other early varieties have lots of blossoms, but no fruit yet...

Second pic is of our largest (so far) lath house filled with 36 plants that we finished planting out this past weekend. Our season has officially started!

Awesome Lyn! Looks very professional, yet classy.

I'm actually past due to plant out. The mators, eggplant, and basil gets planted out this weekend, assuming I can find some time. I can't wait to see those houses in 3 months.
