Une Petite question, svp.
"Florida Petite #6513 (30 seeds) $2.25 Grows beautifully in pots just 4 inches wide. Dwarf plants become no more than 8 or 9 inches tall and wide. Deep red, round fruit, 1-1/4 inches in diameter, is pleasantly flavored. Resistant to gray leaf spot. Determinate. 40 days."
Lots of people have grown Red Robin. Has anyone tried Florida Petite? I have started three for windowsill growing. Thanks. dcarch

I grew it. TGS is correct re the 4" pot - it is a really tiny plant, and doesn't bear lots of fruit over its lifetime.
However, it is great as a houseplant and can produce tomatoes in winter if grown under lights

Haven't tried that one but have Micro Tom in and about to ripen its first fruit. This is a truely small plant. About 3 inches tall and about 6 fruit.

I have grown it in my greenhouse in the dead of winter-much better than micro-tom. The fruit is ok, actually for winter is a little bit better than ok. Nothing to write home about, but better than the supermarket tomatoes. I do not know if the fruit would be better if grown in some heat, that is, not during the winter.
