Alrighty, well here's a pic of a Peruvian Chili (Aji Amarillo) blooming in my little greenhouse on the prairie yesterday. I thought it was pretty and unusual for a pepper blossom.

This year's "earlies": Chello, Cyril's Choice, Yamal - so far so good. They were supposed to be container plants but I can never seem to keep that going and wind up planting them outdoors.

Thanks, Ami- this is my first time growing it with seeds from "clara". These plants that I started super early in the greenhouse and now have been planted out at least a month too soon are looking better than all my other starts. Can't figure it out!

kath, I'm very pleased that Cyril's Choice is doing that fine in your garden! And I'm sure you will like the taste! clara

Hi, clara- yes, they are doing well despite being planted outside so soon. Nights have been in the 40's/50's recently but when it's colder they get wrapped in a fleece blanket at night. I'm looking forward to trying all the new varieties- thank you again for trading. It won't be too long now before we can all reasonably plant outside.

Since I live in zone 6B mine are still a bit small to be blooming.

Until that time these bloomers will have to do.
