Variegated tomato leaves after setting out

Folks, any idea what this is? Spotting on the leaves - almost a variegated look. They are outside for only a couple of weeks, so I assume this is a soil deficiency of some kind, and unlikely to be a disease.

Yep, I'm going to go with sunburn or possibly wind burn as well.
They grow out of it. No worries.

Interestingly, Sungold has been one that is the most susceptible to this condition in my experience.....

I should have thought of that. It was not very sunny, but it was a very windy week.

I need another week course in reading my tomato leaves. Thanks, folks.

Yep, quite a few of mine are sporting the same "look" right now. At least once every year I leave them out too long during hardening. Bad tomato lady!

I usually wait a couple of weeks until the new growth has taken over and then pinch off the worst leaves.

Yours don't look too bad so they should grow out of it pretty quickly!

And then there was a person at another message site who put up a picture of what he thought illustrated variegated leaves and it turned out to be bird doo doo.
