Pinks - final decision, taking votes
I have 3 prime spots left, and 5 candidates. I'll grow the other 2 in containers, but they probably won't do nearly as well. So from these 5, which 3 would you pick for the good spots?
Todd County Amish Soldacki Barlow Jap Hoy Dester I like reasonable productivity, but I have a lot of plants so I'm probably more concerned with taste.

Soldacki (excellent flavor) beats out Hoy (good flavor) for taste, in my garden. I haven't tried the others.
However, Soldacki is one of the worst splitters (in wet weather) that I've ever seen. Both concentric and radial cracking, on the same fruit, makes it look kind of like a mini, pink, disco ball. The flavor is so good, I generally put Soldacki on my grow-out list for the year after a year of heavy rain. Dr. Lve Apple |

For primarily taste, in this order:
Dester Soldacki Todd County Amish Hoy Barlow Jap, not grown by me, the others above, yes, except for Dester for which I was gifted with several large fruits, took big bites and saved seed from the rest and those are the seeds I offered first in my recent seed offer here, since Darlene had also sent me some. But I was so proud of myself setting up the fermentations andprocessing them while holding on to my walker that I just had to offer those seeds first. Carolyn
