The article claims "pest resistance". I guess I am clueless as to how grafted plants improve pest resistance. Anyway, am planning on 30 grafted plants for the 2014 Season.

Root knot nematodes are a soil pest, and a problem in many areas. There are rootstocks that are resistant to the nematodes.
