My tomatoes are extremely late this year because of at least 3 later than usual cold fronts. Seemed like just when they got over the shock of the previous cold front, here came another. The good news so far is that the weather has continued to be mild and the fruit set is getting going now. This looks to be a much later than normal season, but, it could have easily turned into an almost no season at all. In 2011 by this time, we were experiencing mid and upper nineties temps daily that that hit 100 on June 13 really never let up until October. Worst production ever! This year we've hit 92 once, but mostly May has been mild with high temps in the 80s or less and we have a 10 day forecast for more of the same. I'm hoping that the next two weeks bring a bumper crop for the season. Cheers to that for you all as well!

Out here on the Pacific Coast there is always weeding to do
while waiting. This is definitely "weed weather".
