Tomato on a potato plant
OK , I give up . I planted Yukon potatos in a grow bag next to my tomato plants. To my surprize today I found what looks like tomatos growing from the top of one of the plants. Why did this happen, and what should I do?

That would be the toxic fruit of the potato plant. They look like tomatoes because potatoes and tomatoes are relatively closely related. Potatoes and tomatoes are not related enough to cross, but the seeds in the potato fruit may be viable as the result of a self-pollenation. Others on the forums will have more information on the subject if you want it.
