Anahit Tomato from Armenia - lovely chartreuse apples
I am posting these pics because I distributed some seeds for the Anahit tomato in 2013 - this was the juice tomato of the Soviet Union, where all children drank tomato juice every morning. And most still do in the FSU.
The fruit in the green stage are lovely, round, and startlingly chartreuse. I presume they turn red when ripe, but I really don't know yet. The plant is short - about four feet high -- with very long fronds, and RL. It appears to have the same vulnerability to some kind of wilting disease as Prudens Purple, since 3 PP went down, and then one Anahit went down out of four plants. The others are still healthy, and flowering. The last pic is Sungold F1 - just because I like this tom. Wow, what prolific cherries these are! Beautiful Scott. That's one I might like to try next year if it turns out to be a good juicer as claimed.

Anahit continues to prosper. Nothing ripening yet - but ripening is late here in rainy and cool Georgia. This is just another post in my continuing documentation of this unknown variety in the US for later reference by those interested.
