Ew, what's this on my formerly beautiful tomato?
Out in the garden today happily surveying all of my beautifully ripening fruit...
... and ... ... I see this. What is it?! There aren't any holes in the fruit that I can see. It's a Barlow Jap plant - it's had some early blight/fungus issues but that's more or less under control at this point. I also haven't seen anything like this on any other fruit, on this plant or elsewhere. Kathy |

Looks like bacterial spot to me. From what I remember there is not much you can do. I think it comes from contaminated seed. Someone more into diseases probably will explain better.

Fortunately, so far none of the other fruit ripening are showing any hints of this -- whatever it is!
