Brandywine Sudduth
I have been growing brandywines from burpee's heirloom seeds since about 1998. When I first grew them I was fasinated with thier large leaves such a pretty plant.
I kept growing them from saved seed every year mainly because my dad just loves them. I hear about the sudduth strain a lot and was wondering if there is much difference. Because if it is noticeably better my dad will be in heaven!..as he already loves the regular brandywine. He eats a plate full of them or makes a sandwitch with a 1 inch thick slice on it! Jim |

Sudduth's strain of Brandywine is the only one I've ever grown,Jim.I love it!!
The way I understand it,if it's not identified on the seed package one way or the other then that means that the company doesn't know which strain they have. And from what I have read about the variety, all are great(except for being rather stingy about fruit production)but with the flavor that they have, I'll take what I can get
