Stripes of yore
I am growing some of the Tom Wagner toms this year. One of them is Stripes Of yore. How many people have grown it and did you get red or yellow fruit. Is it a cross of Green Zebra and is the taste okay?
Thanks. |

I can not say it until now... The tomatoes just start ripening.

In the development of Stripes of Yore, I was going for a red fruited tomato with vivid blue stripes. Most of the selections coming along, however, are yellow with a striped blue cap. I am just beginning to compile the flavor descriptions.

Mine also just now ripening. It is one of the latest maturing for me this year. Two of four are beginning to show their true color - both are yellow with faint antho stripes. No tasting notes for 10 days or so.

Thanks for your feedback everyone. I have just noticed my SOY seeds germinating right now which means in this country I will be eating tomatoes well into the new-year.
