Frost rainbow
No, not the name of a new tomato -- though now that I think about it, it could work for a white striped Dwarf Project candidate!
Anyway, I woke up this morning after two days of snow to see this flaring ball of fire - not where the sun rises at this time of year, but to the left. It's hard to get the true colors, since the camera wants to autoadjust everything. Then off to the left I could see the other end of the rainbow - The rising sun was in between the two, hidden behind the trees in this shot - These are actually called sundogs, and can be reflections off frost or fog particles. I've seen them before, but never as dramatically as this morning. Now to go out and shovel on the snowdrifts.
