Anyone in the higher zones have plants in the ground yet?

I planted the spring crop yesterday. The temps look ok for the forseeable future. All the spring flowering trees are blooming and things are generally leafing out. I put out two Cherokee Purples, which are my husband's favorite.

I'm waiting until at least after Sunday night. Local meteorologist here said the next cold front could bring in nightly temperatures into the twenties! Ughh! I'm so ready for warmer weather...

I still have one plant from 2013. We have had only one night of frost all winter. The frost wiped out the plants in the main garden, but two plants in the backyard survived. I took out the Sungold a few weeks ago because it had a bit of early blight last summer. The last survivor is a hybrid of unknown variety. It keeps pumping out fruit and is in perfect health. I picked some today. I have never before had fruit in March.

I won't put out the seedlings until the last week of March when threat of frost is over.

We've had zero frost. I had no tomatoes, but the habanero pepper plant I saved has been enjoying the spring-like conditions the last 2 months.

I just made (more) salsa today from my fresh off the vine Bolseno and Cyrils Choice tomatoes. Both are growing in containers under my patio cover. We did have a few frosty nights back in December I think but other that that, even the nights have been pretty warm and the days have been near 80s a lot.

Still harvesting a few stragglers from last year, although its getting poor and fruit small, although still about 10-12 a week. Next years seedlings are growing and will probably go into the ground in early April.
