Default Looking for Veggie & Herb Variety Packs

I have already ordered all my "planned" seeds for this year but am seriously contemplating enlarging the garden again. I was wondering if anyone has experience with the vendors on EBay that sell the large packs of seeds. I'm looking for several varieties and find some when I search under "survival seeds" or "heirloom packs". My neighbor ordered from Mozybeau-Gardens last year and this year and has been happy. Does anyone have recomendations for places that sell a variety pack?

I ordered the large Southern Tin (large garden collection) from Bakers Creek, 2 years ago and it was really good. I think it was $100 and it was very good in selection and also usability. I ordered from them BC I know their seed grow. I wanted some back up seed just in case. I have used most of the seed already, and have a good rotation of using them up and then replacing them..so nothing got old. It's 3 years out and I just planted all the onion packs and even though germination should be really bad b/c they are so old...I am pretty sure every seed germinated b/c I have 1500 onions to plant and no place to put all my transplants.

There was one thing I would never grow- Sorgum. I traded the pack with another gardener though. It had a good selection of heirloom tomatoes and more useful tomatoes for canning. It had a little of everything....let me see if I can find my list from it.

I hope this helps you. You wouldnt get the same things b/c it is 2 years later and you live in a different region, but at least you get an idea of what variety and usefullness you might get. It was a good value for me. The only thing I didn;t like at all was the sorgum, and I traded another gardener for Glass Gem corn, so that worked out nice.

Thank-you so much! I really appreciate all the typing you did! I checked out their website. I like that they have a regional collection. It looks like a good value.
